'Adipurush' dialogue controversy: Allahabad HC slams Censor Board, says 'What do you want to teach the future generations?'

Om Raut's 'Adipurush' starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan sparked controversy that led to massive trolled on social media. The director and writer of the film Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir even received death threats from Kshatriya Karni Sena at a press conference in Madhya Pradesh. Now, amid all these, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court slammed the censor board and the makers of 'Adipurush'. During a hearing on a plea filed by an advocate certain contentious dialogues in 'Adipurush', the court asked "what is it that the censor board keeps doing? What do you want to teach the future generations?" The court even questioned the absence of the producer, director and other parties during the hearing. 'Adipurush', which is an adaptation of Valmiki Ramayana, has received massive backlash from fans, critics, politicians and many organisations. Meanwhile, the All India Cine Workers Association recently wrote to the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, demanding an FIR and a case against the makers of the movie, including director Om Raut and co-writer Manoj Muntashir, for hurting religious sentiments. The letter also said that the producers also want to make money selling discounted tickets, which will send a wrong message about our learning and faith in the Ramayan.
