Tennessee Titans training camp Biggest takeaways from first practice

The hit the practice field for their first se sion Caris LeVert Jersey of training camp on Wednesday and beat reporters were on the ground to give us all the important details. It wasn't a great day for the offensive line and the offense as a whole, which had its fair share of i sues against Tenne see's defense. That is not entirely surprising at this early stage of training camp, though, as Tenne see has several new faces, on top of installing a new offense. Two players did not take part in practice in outside linebacker Harold Landry and offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill. However, their absences were just illne s-related as opposed to injury-related.We did see the return of punter Ryan Stonehouse, who is practicing just seven months removed from serious leg injuries. We also saw the return of defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat, who mi sed a ton of time during the offseason program. We'll take a look at all that and more as we go over the biggest takeaways from the Titans' first practice of training camp on Wednesday.Titans training camp takeaways Day 1Who didn't practice?Harold Landry and Daniel Brunskill, who were not at ' practice today, are both sick. Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) T'Vondre Sweat, Ryan Stonehouse returnJim Wyatt: "All eyes were on defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat at the start, considering we didn't see much of him in the offseason. The team's second-round pick showed some pretty good footwork on the bags, and he said afterward he felt good. Some of Sweat's offensive teammates razzed him a little bit at one point later in practice about being tired, but there were several guys feeling it on the first day back."Nick Su s, The Tenne sean: "Sweat lined upone-on-one against Lloyd Cushenberry IIIon the third-to-last play of Wednesday's practice, shaded just over the right shoulder of the NFL's second-highest-paid center. Sweat screamed acro s Cushenberry's body from the snap, swimming acro s the veteran's body and shoving him aside to envelop running back Tony Pollard in the backfield for a lo s."Ryan Stonehouse is back for the . Terry McCormick (@terrymc13) L'Jarius Sneed a full-goLJarius Wilson Chandler Jersey Sneed full go and plenty of team reps on day one for the Titans. Joe Rexrode (@joerexrode) Offense starts out sloppy offense was sloppy today. A few impre sive shots from Will Levis, but things Julius Erving Jersey looked out of sync.Dont panic. Its Day 1. Sam Phalen (@Sam_Phalen) Not the cleanest operations by first team offense during team period today.Levis tripped over his own feet on a handoff and Pollard fumbled a pitch. AtoZ Sports Nashville (@AtoZSports) Turnover: Rudolph to Vannett, Harrell jarred it loose, Adams recovered.Soon after: Willis to Bryce Oliver, Otis Reese forced fumble, Oliver recovered. Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) Will Levis was imprecise on a few pa ses throwing to receivers against no defense early. Then much better during seven on seven with defenders matched up against his receivers.Had one terrific touch throw between Adams and Brownlee to NWI as he went out of bounds.Nothing Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) Jim Wyatt: "Quarterback Will Levis settled in pretty nicely in the competitive periods, which included a 7-on-7 period and two long team periods. Levis was 4-of-4 in the first 7-on-7 period, and 3-of-4 in his second set of reps in 7-on-7. When the Titans went to the team periods, Levis completed 2-of-3 pa ses in his early reps, and after a break, he came back and completed 2-of-5 throws. Levis wasn't perfect on Wednesday, as the group worked off some rust, but I had him at 11-of-16 in the 7-on-7 and team periods combined, and I felt like he had a solid day overall."Tough day for the offensive lineDidnt appear a great day for the offensive line today.A lot of TFLs and sacks. Defenders slicing through completely untouched at times. Sam Phalen (@Sam_Phalen) Kenneth Murray stands outWyatt: "I kept noticing linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. on Wednesday, perhaps because it was his first full day on the field since being signed earlier in the offseason. Murray was in the backfield on a number of plays, which would have resulted in tackles for a lo s. Murray spent most the offseason working on a side field, not participating in drills."Two rookies stand outWyatt: "Rookie edge rusher Jaylen Harrell was the first player out the door and on the practice field on Day 1 of camp, and he made some plays as well Reggie Perry Jersey . I thought it was a pretty impre sive start for the team's seventh-round pick."Jaylen Harrell was everywhere during team period at training camp todayFormer Michigan Wolverines OLB forced a fumble, had multiple QB pre sures, and saw action against 1st team offense. AtoZ Sports Nashville (@AtoZSports) Surprise to me today: TE David Martin-Robinson had an early presence. Undrafted from Temple. Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) Punt return competitionWyatt: "In a special teams period, Jha'Quan Jackson, Kyle Philips, Eric Garror, Mason Kinsey and Kearis Jackson all fielded punts."More notes camp notes Day 1 (2)-Shoutout to the DJ Chic Ejiasi for playing Nas The Me sage.-1st throw 7v7 Levis to Okonkwo in traffic acro s middle.-They worked all short rtes, nothing vertical.-Nick Vannett had the ball punched out, Jamal Adams recovered it.
